Thank You
Nurturing Minds and SEGA would like to thank the Mkundi Primary School and community for lending us a classroom for our first program in  2008, and for providing much support during the recruitment and selection process.  Thank you also to the Safina Women’s Association, who rented us their buses on a cost-basis to transport our students until we can by our own buses.  A very big THANK YOU to all of you who have donated funds to Nurturing Minds and SEGA to make this program possible.  We are well on our way to expanding The Sega Girls School campus!

 Location & Facilities

The Sega Girls School is located in the village of Mkundi, 10 Kms. outside of Morogoro Town on the Dodoma Road. The plot is 1 Km. from the main road making it accessible, yet with enough distance from town to maintain privacy.

Thus far the Sega Girls School campus has a large multipurpose building and a classroom/dormitory block that accommodates 56 boarding students, 30 days students, a matron and a headmistress.  These buildings are solar powered, have rainwater harvesting, well water powered by solar, and an extensive garden maintained by the staff and students.  There are two adjacent dining Bandas including a kitchen with a fuel efficient cooking facility.
