The new year is here and our Sega

Community Outreach in Kichangani - November 2011
|
With the end of the semester
fast approaching, the Education for Life curriculum organizers were eager to hold one more community outreach activity before
the year end. After finishing their national exams, the Form 2 Sega students paid a visit to the Kichangani Funga Funga center for the elderly and
disabled. The girls carefully budgeted funds and purchased the necessary provisions to prepare a meal to serve to the residents.
The day was a success! The meal was enjoyed by all and the girls made many new friends as they spent time getting to know
the residents and hearing their stories. See more about the activity here.

Lifeskills and Healthy Living Curriculums - February 2012
|
Our
Lifeskills curriculum has been an integral part of our student's education. This program addresses student's needs that are not specifically met in the
classroom, aiming to nurture their social, emotional and psychological health - all while having some fun, of course! The
latest installment has been the Healthy Living Club, to better focus on physical well being. Our guest, Liesbeth Kanisnew, has been offering a weekly aerobics class. The
class is not only teaching the girls valuable exercise techniques but also leaving them with the skills to hold their own
classes in the future. Find out more here.
